Friends of Friends Travel Connect (FFTC) connects women travelling solo or independently to someone local through a trusted network friends, friends of friends and carefully considered referrals.

You are in charge. You set the pace.

FFTC sits between travelling entirely on your own and joining an organised group. You shape your own journey, with the option of a trusted local connection when you want it.
FFTC carefully facilitates introductions to Local Friend Connectors who can share local knowledge, offer a warm welcome and open the door to people, places and shared-interest experiences you might not otherwise discover.

Where destinations, timing and interests align, members can also request introductions to other women travellers within the FFTC community.

Members choose the level of connection that feels right for them. Some travellers want a welcome message or practical local advice. Others might enjoy coffee, a neighbourhood walk, a meal, a concert, a small gathering or an introduction to someone who shares an interest.

As FFTC grows, we plan to use its trusted network, local knowledge and partnerships to create supported opportunities for women facing barriers that have placed meaningful travel and connection out of reach. For some women, it may be life-changing.

Two Connected Communities

FFTC is bringing together two connected communities:

women who travel solo or independently; and
Local Friend Connectors who are willing to open a door into their part of the world.

The network grows through friends, friends of friends, trusted referrals and established community relationships. We also warmly welcome expressions of interest from people who feel a genuine connection with the FFTC idea.

Becoming a Local Friend Connector begins with an expression of interest and a conversation. It is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, talk about the role and consider whether it feels like a good fit on both sides.

Because trust is central to FFTC, joining the Local Friend Connector network is not automatic. Each expression of interest is considered personally, and some may not lead to an invitation. There is no obligation on either side.
